collection of the brothers Hans and Louis Lion, Munich/ Vienna;
confiscated in 1938/39 by the National Socialists;
1942 sold through the Galerie L.T. Neumann, Vienna, to the Salzburg Museum (formerly Salzburger Museum Carolino-Augusteum);
1952 (after a restitution proceeding) restituted to the collection of the Lion brothers;
according to the owner acquired in the 1980s from an art dealer, Salzburg;
since then private property, Austria
