on the reverse a note by the former owner concerning the receipt of the painting:
"gehört (...) Ich war Förderer der Kunstgemeinde, gewann das Bild anlässlich der Weihnachtsausstellung. Wacker war über mein Glück so erfreut, daß er mich heim begleitete u. das Bild unter der Haustüre übergab."
