steel, ivory, leather; single-edged, openwork Toledo blade of steel, blued, engraved and inlaid with gold, 1 long pull and 2 hollow grindings (both 22.5 cm long); on the back of the blade the inscription "Viva Ferdinando (... )", the inscription was probably made 100 years ago and is not original to the object; hilt of finest steel cut and partially gilded; crowned monogram of King Ferdinand I "FR" (Fredericus Rex), carved ivory grip, very fine detailed masterly work with original gilt rivet from the period; the scabbard made of wood, covered with burled and green dyed leather; scabbard fittings on the back
