How to Bid – Six Ways to Participate
You can place bids in net prices (fees, taxes extra). All bids denominated in Euros. New customers must present valid photo ID.

Register on-site before the auction in Vienna, present valid photo ID. Receive a bidder number. -
Written Bids
Submit an order bid form (found in catalogue or PDF online). Send by email or fax. First-time bidders must include photo ID. -
Telephone Bid
Fill out the order bid form, include a reachable telephone number. We will call you during the auction to place bids. -
Bid via Broker
Use our broker (Monika Uzman) to bid for you. She can bid by telephone or via your written order. If two bidders tie and neither increases, the broker’s bid has priority (except online bids). Broker fee is 1.2% of final bid, in addition to purchase price. -
Online Bidding (Live)
Participate from computer or mobile device. Register online (including photo ID for first-time bidders). Tick “Live bids online” during registration. Join via our live internet platform. ( -

Use third-party platforms like Lot-Tissimo, The Saleroom, Drouot or Invaluable. You can place written, telephone, or live online bids. Note: additional fees may apply.
Order bids and online registering requests should reach us at least 24 hours before the auction begins. Late bids cannot always be guaranteed.
Auction Procedure & What Happens During the Sale
Calling for bids: Lots normally called in catalogue order; the auctioneer may combine, split, or withdraw lots.
Bidding increments: Usually ~10% over the prior bid, but may vary.
Knock-down: The highest valid bid wins. If reserve (minimum price) isn't met, lots may be knocked down under reserve after consultation.
Post-Auction Sale: Unsold lots are offered on our website in the post-auction sale for up to four weeks. If your bid is under reserve, buyer’s commission is 35% in such cases.
After Winning – Payment, Invoice & Ownership Transfer
Invoice & Payment: You must settle the invoice within 8 days. Payment methods include bank transfer, cash, debit card, or credit card (credit cards incur ~2% fee). For non-EU exports, VAT is exempt, but export must be organised by the auction house.
Transport & Shipping:
If you prefer delivery, we coordinate with specialized partners for packing, insurance, and shipping—offering favorable rates.
If you collect personally, you assume responsibility for transportation and packing from our premises.
